Dairyland Power Cooperative

76th Annual Meeting Highlights

The Nemadji Trail Energy Center will be a 525-500 MW combined cycle natural gas plant jointly owned by Dairyland and Minnesota Power, a utility division of ALLETE, based in Duluth, Minn. It will be located in Superior, WI, which is adjacent to both partners' service areas.

This project will provide an agile and affordable resource that supports Dairyland's major investments in wind and solar energy. This aligns with Dairyland's "Preferred Plan" for resource diversification.

Nick highlighted Dairyland's successful renewable energy initatives, especially in solar during the past year. She also updated the membership on the decommissioning of Dairyland's shutdown nuclear facility, the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR).
