Conservation Programs and Energy Saving Tips

Energy conservation plays an extremely important role for both energy producers and users. People can have a significant impact on the need to build new power plants by making simple modifications to their lifestyle. Conserving energy is good for your pocketbook—and good for the environment.

Together, Dairyland Power and its member cooperatives are encouraging energy users in Dairylandís service territory to conserve energy by providing rebates on energy efficient applicances, heating and cooling equipment, lighting and more! Even small efforts can make a big difference in conserving energy. For example, an ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulb uses about 75 percent less energy than a standard incandescent bulb and lasts up to 10 times longer. And CFLs will qualify for a rebate from any one of Dairyland Power's member cooperatives.
