Gov. Evers attends solar facility ribbon cutting
Sept. 15, 2021
Dairyland President and CEO Brent Ridge attended Jackson Electric Cooperative’s ribbon cutting ceremony for the Strobus Solar Site in Black River Falls on Sept. 14. Gov. Tony Evers was in attendance at the event (pictured with Ridge and Jackson Electric’s CEO Kevin Babcock).
Dairyland supported Jackson’s development of the 1.5 MW facility and purchases a portion of the renewable energy. Approximately 370 homes can be powered by Strobus. OneEnergy Renewables is the solar owner and developer. Pollinator habitat will be planted between the rows of panels on the 10-acre field.
