Gary Mazo joined Dairyland Power Cooperative as Vice President & Chief Risk
Officer in April 2026. He leads Dairyland’s enterprise risk management program to ensure risks are identified and managed across power supply, transmission, cybersecurity, safety, finance and compliance operations. Mazo also oversees corporate risk governance in alignment with Dairyland’s Board of Directors.
Prior to Dairyland, Mazo was Vice President-Fuels at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). He began his career in private and public industries with positions in accounting and auditing, and also served as Director, Enterprise Risk Management at Progress Energy, Inc.
Mazo holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; and an MBA from Emory University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned his Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
