Congratulations to Communications and Member Services Manager Dana Bolwerk and HR Coordinator Sophie Graner for earning the August People Powers award. Dana was nominated by Corporate Governance and Board Affairs Manager Courtney Cuta for the People Power – Cooperative Purpose. Sophie was nominated by Director, Human Resources and Labor Relations Matt Page and HRIS Program Manager Lori Flock for the People Power – Lead by Example.

In her nomination, Courtney wrote that Dana, "consistently embodies the cooperative spirit through her commitment to our members, her willingness to share her knowledge and her dedication to serving others inside and outside Dairyland.

"Whether leading A Day with Your G&T, co-planning Dairyland's annual Day of Service, supporting the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association's (WECA) New Employee Orientation or helping strengthen connections with member cooperatives, Dana brings cooperative values to life every day," Courtney said.

Sophie was recognized for her leadership of Dairyland's 2026 intern cohort. In their nominations, Matt and Lori highlighted the impact Sophie had on both the interns and the organization. Matt noted that Sophie, "served as the primary liaison between the interns and the Cooperative, helping them navigate questions, build relationships and understand our culture." Lori described Sophie as, "a natural leader who approaches her work with grace, maturity and kindness." Together, their nominations recognized Sophie's commitment to creating a meaningful internship experience and helping interns feel welcomed, supported and connected to Dairyland.
