Congratulations to Foreperson, Renewable & Combustion Turbine EM Aaron Bravick for earning the January People Powers award! Aaron was nominated by Regional Manager - Site Operations Brandon Nofio; Director, Site Operations Generation Ches Wright and Supervisor, Site Operations – Generation Dan Lucas. 

In all three nominations, Aaron was recognized for his leadership and representation of the Own It People Power during Winter Storm Fern at the Elk Mound site. His ownership of the power generation process from start to finish ensured reliability despite extreme weather conditions and operational challenges. Brandon described his leadership as "infectious," noting how it inspired a "can-do attitude" across the team. 

Additionally, the group recognized his proactive mindset and questioning attitude, which led to several process improvements during the event. These involved a new method to restrict cold air flow into critical compartments, implementation of a revised fuel oil offloading approach that reduced delivery times and improved visibility into compartment heating. He also investigated an alarm that ultimately prevented a potential trip, ensuring a safe and reliable switch back to natural gas.
