Dairyland has been named a 2023 CIO 100 Award Winner by Foundry’s CIO. Dairyland Chief Information Officer Nate Melby will accept the award on Dairyland’s behalf in August at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

“Dairyland is honored to be recognized for this award with leading organizations from across the globe,” said President & CEO Brent Ridge. “Technology drives our ability to perform business and operations processes that enable us to succeed as a wholesale energy cooperative. It is essential to stay on the leading edge of the tech sector to remain reliable, safe and relevant for both our members and employees.”

The Dairyland Systems Modernization (DSM) program was cited specifically in the award announcement for delivering business value through innovation. The DSM program is focused on improving processes and systems in key areas at Dairyland by implementing strategic software solutions. Melby serves as the program’s Executive Sponsor.

“Celebrating the CIO 100 winners, one of the most prestigious awards in the technology industry, is a great privilege for us each year,” stated Nicole Peck, VP and GM for Foundry Events North America. "We are honored to showcase their successes and inspire others to follow in their footsteps as we collectively navigate the ever-evolving landscape of digital transformation.”

Melby joined Dairyland in 2016. As CIO, he is responsible for leading the strategy, development and implementation of information technology initiatives and systems to advance Dairyland’s business and operations strategies. Click here for Melby’s biography.
