Dairyland has received notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs that it is approved as a GI Bill® Training Facility. “This important accreditation will help us further incentivize and attract skilled veterans for careers at Dairyland,” said Elizabeth Ressie, Director, Human Resources.

In addition, Dairyland’s registered apprenticeship programs can assist current and future veteran apprentices with the benefits they’ve earned. Veterans who have existing benefits under the GI Bill and are participating in a VA-certified apprenticeship can use the GI Bill towards tuition and fee payments.

Dairyland actively recruits veterans to join its workforce, a strategy that for decades has proven to be a win-win for both the employer and the employee. Veterans are goal-oriented, highly skilled and honorable. These are key traits that will help advance our growth and innovation in the energy industry.

Dairyland also participates in NRECA’s Vets Power Us initiative to recruit and hire veterans. “When posting jobs externally, we specifically target more than
20 veteran recruiting sites and will participate in veteran career fairs in the future,” said Ressie.
