Dairyland has donated $15,071 to the Waumandee-Montana-Lincoln Fire Department following Dairyland’s 2nd Annual John P. Madgett (JPM) Charitable Golf Outing earlier this summer. As local first responders, Waumandee-Montana-Lincoln supports Dairyland's Alma Site in the event of fire or emergency. “Safety is our highest priority at Dairyland, and the services of our local first responders are critical in ensuring the safety of those at Dairyland and our greater community,” said President and CEO Brent Ridge. “We are proud to support the Waumandee-Montana-Lincoln Fire Department and appreciate their commitment to keeping our local communities safe.”
The funds raised will support a Firelite pump unit and rescue basket for the fire department’s recently purchased UTV. This will greatly enhance their firefighting efforts and rescue abilities in the rugged terrain of Buffalo County as well as mutual aid efforts to neighboring fire departments.
“The Waumandee-Montana-Lincoln Fire Department is honored to be the recipient of Dairyland’s fundraiser,” said Fire Chief Ron Olson. “The donation will complete a major upgrade in purchasing a UTV with tracks, trailer and the Firelite pump unit with rescue basket. We truly appreciate everyone who participated in the well-organized and fun event.”
