Dairyland Power Cooperative, in collaboration with Jump River Electric Cooperative, teamed up to donate $2,000 to the Sawyer County Fire and Emergency Association, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to supporting the communities they serve through the Cooperative Contributions Program.

The $2,000 donation reflects the shared values of Dairyland Power and Jump River Electric Cooperative (JREC) and the 7th Cooperative Principle of Concern for Community. The donation will support the purchase of fire safety education materials, directly benefiting the 13 fire departments within the Sawyer County Fire and Emergency Association.

“Safety is our number one priority at Dairyland, and we are proud to support initiatives that reinforce that commitment and ensure a safer environment for our members and neighbors,” said Dairyland President & CEO Brent Ridge.

Through the Cooperative Contributions Program, Dairyland and its member cooperatives continuously strive to make a positive impact in various sectors, including healthcare, education, and community development.

“We are pleased to partner with Dairyland in providing this donation, which will support this organization in their mission to protect and serve our community,” said JREC’s General Manager/CEO Kurt Harris. “We are committed to enhancing community safety and preparedness, and this donation will contribute to those efforts.”
