Dairyland, in collaboration with St. Croix Electric Cooperative, presented a $1,500 donation to the United Way St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys on Tuesday, Dec. 2, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to supporting the communities they serve through the Cooperative Contributions Program.
The National Diaper Bank Network reported that one in two families with young children cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry and healthy, leading them to be exposed to potential health risks.
To help alleviate diaper insecurity, St. Croix Electric Cooperative is hosting a drop-off location at their headquarters in Hammond, Wis., from now until Dec. 19. Community members are encouraged to donate new, unopened packages of diapers (sizes newborn to size six) and baby wipes to support families in need.
“At Dairyland, supporting the well-being of families in our communities is at the heart of what we do,” said Dairyland President and CEO Brent Ridge. “We’re proud to partner with St. Croix Electric Cooperative and local organizations to help families meet this essential need.”
“At SCEC, we believe in supporting the communities we serve,” said Rob Dooley, President & CEO of St. Croix Electric Cooperative. “Every donation makes a real difference—and we’re especially grateful for the generosity shown through Dairyland’s Cooperative Contributions Program, which helps amplify the impact of this effort.”
Through the Cooperative Contributions Program, Dairyland and its member cooperatives continuously strive to make a positive impact in various sectors, including healthcare, education and community development.
