Congratulations to Foreperson, Renewable & Combustion Turbine - Flambeau Dennis Arendt for earning the June People Powers award! Dennis was nominated by Director, Regulatory Affairs Brad Foss; Director, Communications, Member Services and Stakeholder Engagement Katie Thomson and VP, Generation Jeremy Browning for acting with a Lead by Example mindset.
In their nominations, Brad, Katie, and Jeremy each highlighted Dennis’ commitment to investigating a small oil sheen discovered near the Flambeau Hydroelectric Station. “Dennis has been utterly tireless in his efforts to investigate and uncover the cause of a small oil release near the Flambeau Hydro Station. He has led strategy and information sharing, regularly cascading updates to internal stakeholders,” shared Katie.
Brad echoed this sentiment, emphasizing how Dennis went far beyond expectations in pursuit of a resolution. “His dedication has been nothing less than inspiring to others involved in the troubleshooting,” Brad noted.
Jeremy further underscored Dennis’ leadership and commitment to safety, pointing to his consistent use of Dairyland’s Human Performance Tools. “Under Dennis’ leadership, the Flambeau Team demonstrated great questioning attitude and implementation of actions from previous lessons learned.” He added, “Additionally, Dennis has displayed great tenacity and gumption in continuing to drive the organization to a permanent solution through a very challenging and complex troubleshooting plan.”
