Pine Lake to El Paso (Tap Line)
Dairyland Power Cooperative plans to rebuild 23 miles of 69,000-volt (69 kV) transmission line between Xcel Energy's Pine Lake Transmission Substation located on 230th Street in St. Croix County, Wis., to Dairyland's El Paso Distribution Substation tap line switchpole located along 330th Street in Pierce County, Wis. The line is aging and reaching the end of its asset life. The project will involve removing the existing line and rebuilding the new line in the existing corridor. There will be a minor re-route of the corridor near Dairyland's Woodville Distribution Substation, which will improve the service reliability into the substation.
