Dairyland has donated a total of $10,000 to the La Crosse Community Theatre in support of the newly developed Weber Center for the Performing Arts, located in downtown La Crosse on the Mississippi River waterfront.

Dairyland Power contributed $5,000, which was then matched in full by CoBank, a national cooperative bank, through CoBank’s Sharing Success program.

“An important part of Dairyland’s mission as a cooperative business is to enhance the social and economic well being of the region. A contribution to the Weber Center is a wonderful match for this mission. Along with the rest of the community, we are excited to visit and enjoy the new facility,” said Brian Rude, Dairyland Vice President, External and Member Relations.

The Weber Center for the Performing Arts is opening with a debut performance of Macbeth. The La Crosse Community Theatre and Viterbo University collaborated on the center, which will greatly augment the region’s arts and theatre opportunities. The center will utilize state-of-the-art sound and lighting, a main theatre and secondary “Black Box” performance area, orchestra pit, expansive lobby and rooftop terrace for the full theatre experience.
