Dairyland Vice President, Strategic Growth John Carr testifies on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. CT in Washington, DC., before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources during a discussion of the BUILDER Act. His remarks and testimony on permitting reform will be on behalf of both Dairyland and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

At the hearing, Carr will emphasize the importance of modernizing the permitting process, noting the current federal process delays clean energy deployment and raises energy prices through inefficient reviews and costly litigation. Two essential Dairyland projects, the Nemadji Trail Energy Center (NTEC) and the Cardinal-Hickory Creek (CHC) project will be shared as examples of why modernization of the process is needed.
