Dispatcher in the System Operations Center. I started as a Dispatcher working out of the La Crosse Administrative Building in the spring of 2016.  I work with field crews and neighboring companies to keep the transmission system and generation units in service and within limits.

There is a lot of support from coworkers so I can be successful.

What led you to work in this field?
I worked summer help in high school for Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative in southwest Wisconsin and really enjoyed the work.  After that, I became a lineworker for 11 years prior to working for Dairyland.

Life outside of work. Tell us about your favorite things.
I live on a hobby farm south of La Crosse with my wife and three kids.  There is a lot of running around for sports, but in our free time, we enjoy going to the river and anything with motorsports.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
It’s not the hours you put in your work that counts, it’s the work you put in the hours.

Anticipation of results.
