Mackenzie Wick, Utility Worker Fuels

What is your job at Dairyland?
I work at the JPM (John P. Madgett) site in Alma with the coal crew as a utility worker. I've been employed at Dairyland for a little over a year. I enjoy working with a great group of people and being able to work outdoors.

What makes Dairyland a great place to work?
I think Dairyland is great place to work because of the great employees and the great opportunities that come with the job.

What led you to work in this field?
I enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment and hope to eventually become a coal handler.

In your life outside of work, what are some of your favorite things?
I'm currently serving in the National Guard as a truck driver. I've been in the Guard for about eight years. I enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, UTVing and helping out on my family's farm.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given? (Or favorite quote)
My favorite quote would be, “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

What do you want to be celebrating in five years?
In five years, I hope to be celebrating having a good job at Dairyland, buying land on a lake or in the country, and building my dream house.
