What is your job at Dairyland?
As a supervisor of the IT Business Applications team, my job is to ensure that our members and employees effectively utilize technology to achieve their goals. I enjoy acting as a "trusted advisor", fostering relationships between different departments while managing and supporting business applications. The aspect I love most about my job is the ability to serve as a key liaison, tying together all functional areas, and involving IT expertise to promote technical services and capabilities. I have been at Dairyland for 13 years.

What makes Dairyland a great place to work?
One of the reasons why I believe Dairyland is a great place to work is the dynamic, flexible environment it offers to its employees, truly endorsing diversity in work. The opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of projects and interact with distinct functional areas allows for an enriching experience, enhancing one's skill set and perspective.

What led you to work in this field?
My fascination with computers and technology from the outset sparked my journey into starting as a developer. Over time, however, I noticed a recurring struggle - a gap between understanding technology, its successful adoption, and accurate interpretation of business requirements by technical teams. This unaddressed gap motivated me to shift my focus, prompting me towards the path of aligning business needs with technological solutions, which is what I am passionate about in my current role.

Life outside of work. Tell us about your favorite things.
Outside of work, I'm a DIY enthusiast. I'm fascinated by building science, as it combines creativity and technical aptitude. My other interests span woodworking and dabbling with lasers.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given? (Or favorite quote)

What was the best thing that happened to you this month?

What motivates you?
I draw my motivation from several sources. The excitement of solving challenging problems and the constant opportunity for learning and growth in the evolving field of IT keeps me engaged and inspired. The ability to make a real difference in the organization, work together with a dedicated team and the potential to drive innovation perfectly align with my aspirations, fueling my passion and commitment to my role.
