Dairyland is celebrating National Pollinator Week (June 17-23) with a commitment to environmental stewardship that dates back to 1994. Dedicated to sustainability, Dairyland supports nearly 300 acres of pollinator habitat, with more than 50 acres actively maintained to support pollinator species. These habitats serve as vital sanctuaries for a diverse range of pollinators, including bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.

Dairyland’s first pollinator habitat was established nearly three decades ago in Genoa, WI, and spans 38 acres, featuring over 40 species of native grasses and forbs. As Dairyland continues to expand its environmental stewardship, a new pollinator habitat is in development at the John P. Madgett (JPM) Generating Station. Dairyland actively invests in and contributes to building these habitats by partnering with local schools and conservation groups. Dairyland also engages the community in educational programs about the importance of pollinators.
