The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, Minnesota Department of Commerce and Office of Administrative Hearings will hold public hearings on Dairyland's Wabasha Relocation 161 kV Transmission Line Project on Feb. 11 and Feb. 12: 

  • Tuesday, Feb. 11 (in-person) at the St. Agnes Church Hall (125 West Belvidere Ave., Kellogg, Minn.). Open house is from 5 to 6 p.m.; formal hearing begins at 6 p.m. During the open-house, attendees can review maps and materials and ask questions of the applicants and state staff. Comments made by attendees will become part of the record for consideration only if the attendee submits the comment in writing. Forms will be available for this purpose.

About the project: The Wabasha Relocation Project will relocate an existing transmission line that serves a critical role in providing reliable electric service to homes and businesses in southeast Minnesota. As a critical services provider, Dairyland is relocating 13.3 miles of 161-kilovolt (kV) to a new right-of-way between Plainview Township and Greenfield Township in Wabasha County, Minn.
